Mass Peace Action Endorses Campaign to Change the Mass Flag

Joining OUR Growing List of Campaign Co-Sponsors!

Massachusetts Peace Action is the Commonwealth’s largest grassroots peace organization.

Massachusetts Peace Action is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to develop the sustained political power to foster a more just and peaceful U.S. foreign policy.

Through organizing, policy advocacy and community education, Mass Peace Action seeks nuclear disarmament, ending U.S. wars and occupations, and moving funds from the military budget to fund clean energy, environment, transportation, jobs, housing and schools.  Their website provides an invaluable resource for peace and social justice activists and organizations statewide – and their calendar is a required first stop for anyone interested in plugging into the growing movement for peace and social justice in Massachusetts.

Among the package of legislation Mass Peace Action is supporting in the 2019-20 legislative session, there are bills to slow or halt the nuclear arms race and the threat of first strike use of nuclear weapons, bills to redirect military spending to peaceful, productive uses in our Commonwealth, and also this bill to ban the investment of Massachusetts pension funds in companies that produce weapons for the War in Yemen. Call your legislators before Friday, Feb. 1st to co-sponsor any or all of the legislation sponsored under Mass Peace Action’s Peace and Justice Agenda.
