Town of Lincoln Approves Resolution to Change the Flag and Seal of Massachusetts

The Town of Lincoln approved by majority vote at the Annual Town Meeting of 3/23/19 a resolution in support of changing the flag and seal of Massachusetts. Lincoln, in Middlesex County, now joins the Hampshire County cities of Northampton and Amherst, and the Franklin County towns of Gill, New Salem, Orange and Wendell in approving resolutions of support of (new, permanent bill numbers) H.2776 and S.1877: A Resolve Providing for the Creation of a Special Commission Relative to the Seal and Motto of the Commonwealth.
Many more Massachusetts cities and towns will be considering similar resolutions this spring. If the warrant for the annual town meeting in your town is not yet closed, it only takes the signatures of 10 registered voters to place a resolution on the town meeting warrant. If your city or town has not yet voted to change the flag and seal of Massachusetts, and you want to help raise that issue in your community, please call: 413-863-9296, or email: daviddetmold@gmail.com
Together we will change the flag and seal of Massachusetts, to a positive image reflecting harmony between all the people who share the Commonwealth today.
