Friends – Here is the updated map of 39 Massachusetts cities and towns that have already voted YES to change the state flag and seal.
Only four towns, so far, (Barre, Bernardston, Harwich and Rowley) have voted against resolutions of support for H.2776 / S.1877 – the legislation pending at the statehouse to set up a special commission, to invite Native leaders of the Commonwealth to sit with state legislators to design a new state flag and seal.
One of those four towns – Bernardston – has since changed to the YES column, after organizers gathered 100 signatures to bring the resolution back for a second vote at special town meeting, where the resolution passed easily.
